A Home Crafted with Love, Function, and Elevated Comfort

The Plum Tree Project is a true piece of art—born out of love, passion, and a deep understanding of how a young family lives. Designed for a couple with a small child and a cat, this home balances beauty with practicality, proving that a thoughtfully curated interior can be both sophisticated and family-friendly.

Every design decision prioritized functionality, durability, and effortless maintenance. Upholstered pieces throughout the home feature stain-resistant performance fabrics, ensuring longevity without compromising on softness or style. We intentionally selected velvet textures—a material that cats typically do not scratch—allowing the furniture to maintain its pristine look even with daily family life. Months later, the results speak for themselves: everything still looks beautifully cared for.

Smart, Family-First Custom Solutions

Custom millwork became the backbone of this project.

  • A bespoke dining bench offers hidden storage—perfect for toys, linens, or everyday essentials.
  • Additional cabinetry was added throughout the home, including a clever built-in hideaway for the cat’s litter box. This discreet solution keeps the home looking polished while giving the family pet easy and comfortable access.

An Elevated Welcome

In the entryway, we created a full paneled wall with acoustic cladding, blocking exterior noise and infusing the space with warmth and intimacy. The result is a quiet, serene welcome the moment you step inside—an immediate transformation from the outdoors into a calm, nurturing home.

Living Room: Warmth, Light, and Personal History

The living room features a soft beige performance-velvet sofa—inviting, practical, and thoughtfully chosen to align with the needs of both the child and the cat. A curated bookshelf celebrates the clients’ love of reading, adding character and depth to the space.

Above the sofa hangs a custom artwork created by a family member, handmade specifically for this project. Its palette ties seamlessly into the room’s color story, adding emotional significance and uniqueness that cannot be replicated.

The natural brick fireplace was intentionally preserved. As designers, we strongly believe that the porous, terracotta-toned texture of natural brick carries a charm and authenticity that painted brick can never fully achieve. Keeping it untouched became a defining design choice.

Master Bedroom: A Gentle, Reimagined Retreat

Previously not used as a bedroom at all, this space was completely transformed into a soft, relaxing sanctuary. Custom window treatments and full-length curtains bring a sense of luxury and tranquility. A new built-in cabinetry unit adds elegant storage while enhancing the room’s architecture. Plus the pedestal bed offers plenty of additional storage.

Every detail works together to create a calm, inviting environment for rest and restoration. Plum Tree Project proves that high design and everyday family living can coexist beautifully. It is a home filled with thoughtful details, custom craftsmanship, and timeless textures—designed to grow with the family and stay effortlessly beautiful for years to come.
