Fancy Interiors Studio is proud to announce that Oldham Residence has been featured in Marie Claire Arabia Maison in the editorial story The Architecture of Continuity Begins with What We Choose to Keep. The feature explores the transformation of a 4,500-square-foot family home in Toronto’s Etobicoke neighbourhood and the idea that meaningful renovation is not simply about creating something new, but about preserving the history and identity that make a home worth keeping.

Led by principal designer Ksenia Berkovich, Fancy Interiors Studio reimagined a residence that had evolved through multiple additions over the years, bringing its disconnected architecture together through a cohesive material and spatial language. Curved forms, refined sightlines and a restrained palette of marble, onyx, timber, microcement, fluted glass and textured wallcoverings create continuity throughout the home while allowing each space to retain its own character.

The publication highlights many of the project’s bespoke details, including custom millwork surrounding the marble fireplace, Ksenia Berkovich’s custom-designed onyx coffee table, integrated Calacatta Gold sinks, a backlit onyx powder-room basin, concealed kitchen elements and thoughtfully commissioned artwork. More importantly, the story reflects the philosophy behind the renovation: creating a home that respects its past while preparing it for the next generation of the family.
